Lake Repairs

One of MUD 115’s responsibilities is the maintenance of the lakes located within the district. Not only do our lakes beautify our neighborhood, they also act to control flooding in our area as well as provide a balance to the nature around us. We perform maintenance on our lakes once a week and note any needed repairs for further consideration.

Recently, we performed repair to Lake B. This lake is one part of the very important, large drainage system for MUD 115. Erosion on this lake was affecting the drainage as well as being unsightly to the residents. Shoreline stabilization was utilized using shoresox technology.

What is ShoreSOX, you may ask? Here is a direct quote from their website. “ShoreSOX® Erosion Control system is designed with a single layer of patented knitted
polyethylene mesh that is filled with a locally sourced organic media such as blow-in mulch. Upon installation, the system halts soil erosion and re-stabilizes shorelines and hillsides using an open-ended containment system.” If you’d like to find out more, please click here.

Director’s Letter

To all of our MUD 115 Residents,

I am pleased to announce the creation of our MUD 115 website. We hope you will find this website a source of information including those of the latest happenings and provide insight into our role as a Municipal Utility District. Water, waste management, flood control, and drainage are the key elements of a MUD. However, that is not just what we do. We maintain 8 lakes and their revitalization, 11 fountains, the greenbelt area, and we partner with the HOA on landscaping. I am proud to be a resident in this community where so many people care. As neighbors, let’s continue to make this a GREAT place to live.

Sincerely,
Bob Barrett, MUD 115 President
